Why no pinch and drag camera controls?

Seriously, youve made a great sandbox app. But why are the camera controls so obtuse? Surely you can implement touch camera controls, i.e. one or two finger drag to pan, or pinch to zoom? It would be alot more intuitive, easier, and more fun.
